Dinosaurs, are they becoming weak-sauce? How PlosOne saved my view of people trying to ruin my childhood....
So as you may recall some jerk decided Triceratops did not exist. This person, I am pretty sure, was stripped of their position in academe and promptly tarred and feathered (get it, like dinosaurs). The problem was that he may have been right. Except I contend that they should have switched the way it was worded and just dumped declare Torosaraus a Triceratops. But this is getting away from the bigger point that slowly over time they have been stripping away all the coolness associated with dinosaurs. For example Feathers
However, there has been a push back against this gross misconduct. It turns out Triceratops is definetly NOT a torosaraus. Also it turns out feathers are actually awesome! Also they have recently discovered some freaking amazing SUPER T-rexs. The inherent problem with trying to strip dinosaurs of their awesomeness is that super-organisms as tall as buildings are awesome no matter how lame you try and make them. Further, you can't remove the enormous claws of the velociraptor that are clearly designed for awesome dino-wars, like wolves battling bears, but with more lizard. Also, people will continue to imagine awesome things for them, even the feathers turn out to be awesome! And as long as we can't study their actual behaviour we will be left to assume that these were indeed the super-smart predator Michael Criton envisioned.
In Conclusion: Jurassic Park Theme.

Prince Looks like Dave Chappelle Dressed up as Prince
The other day I was trying to work out an acoustic guitar version of Purple Rain, so I started watching this video:
Prince and The Revolution: Purple Rain
It starts slow, but it gets really good. The first thing that I thought of was how much Prince looks like Dave Chappelle dressed up like Prince:
Prince versus Charlie Murphy
It's basically the best reverse impression I've seen in a while. I kind of wonder how Prince picked people for his posse. Were they childhood friends? Other musicians? Basketball players? Dudes who like to wear clothing from the women's section of a department store? There are a lot of awkward looks between Prince, his bandmates and the audience. I really like that.
Still haven't figured out how to acoustify this beast. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Lucho Gonzalez: Master and Commander
This is what Wikipedia says about Lucho Gonzalez:
Lucho no longer plays for Porto, he was sold to Marseille for €18 million, which seems like a steal to me. He's great. I hope that someday soon, I can play a little more like El Commandante!
A versatile midfielder who is able to play in different positions, but mainly in the centre, he is well known for his fierce shot, passing skills and hardworking style, being affectionately known as El Comandante (the commander) due to his leadership skills. That is a sweet nickname, no? My wife bought me a FC Porto shirt when she was over there, and when I wore it to work my Portugese friend in lab went crazy. He loved it. We started talking about the team, and I mentioned that Lucho was my favorite player for Porto. On my XBox, he is big, pretty fast, a good dribbler, and can defend really well. Nice shot too, but his passing is my favorite part of his game. I really like to play him either on the right wing or in a central playmaker role (in addition to being a tremendous leader, he's right-footed). When Lucho is on the field, all of the other XBox soccer players really look up to him.
